Traveling can be stressful. After battling traffic and fighting airport security, it’s not difficult to become exhausted. American Express will soon offer a way for Houstonians to escape the airport’s many stressors and unwind. It’s a new retreat called the Centurion Lounge.
Open to all American Express cardholders, Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport will house the seventh lounge of its kind, joining Dallas/ Fort Worth International Airport, Las Vegas McCarran International Airport, New York’s La Guardia Airport, Miami International Airport, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and San Francisco International Airport.
Cardholders can expect an 8,500-square-foot airport retreat complete with amenities including a seasonal buffet, a premium bar, member services desks, shower suites, flat-screen TVs, a family room and conference space, semiprivate workspaces, high-speed WiFi, a computer bar and a print, fax and copy area. The lounge is slated to open in Terminal D in 2016.
