To celebrate a new collaboration with the historic French luxury brand Baccarat, Neiman Marcus invited top customers and “notables” to the Neiman Marcus Downtown Dallas flagship on Tuesday evening for the unveiling of the Palladian Tree by Baccarat. Who better to declare the one-of-a-kind installation a good thing other than the one-of-a-kind arbiter of taste, Martha Stewart?
While adoring fans sipped champagne from Baccarat stemware, Martha spotlighted the posh giftability of Baccarat and praised the beloved homegrown department store hosting the festive cocktail party. Martha put it best, saying, “This spectacular holiday tree and historic store remind me why I always love a visit to Neiman Marcus.”
Even the man of the season, Santa, took a backseat to the lifestyle mogul.

After Stewart concluded her brief remarks and Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” symbolically commenced Christmas, Stewart posed in front of the Palladian Tree by Baccarat. Also known as “The Tree of Light, Joy, and Energy,” the Palladian Tree by Baccarat sculpture, made up of ultra-reflective Le Roi Soleil Chandeliers, exudes luxury.
As Neiman Marcus President & Chief Merchandising Officer Lana Todorovich summarized, “Martha Stewart is the ultimate tastemaker who truly inspires people to Live their Luxury in the everyday.”
As if present for the first appearance of a new baby giraffe at the Dallas Zoo, guests of all ages flocked to Stewart, craning their necks in the sea of admirers to capture the perfect selfie. Stewart generously posed for the parade of iPhones. (It will come as no surprise to Stewart’s 1.7 million Instagram followers that the octogenarian certainly knows her angles.)

The general consensus amongst those guests in such close proximity to Stewart? She’s stunning. The kind of stunning that demands you whip out your iPhone to Google “How old is Martha Stewart?” (Spoiler Alert: She’s 81. Take all the time you need to process this.)
“Do you think it’s the gummies?” we heard one admirer whisper to a friend, referring to Stewart’s line of CBD gummies. “Should I order some?” Surely the octogenarian’s radiant skin inspired more than one Gen Z attendee to apply sunscreen the next morning.

Then, just like the wind, she was gone, safely retreating to Chanel on Level 2. Long after Stewart’s departure, the sales floor pulsed with holiday tunes from DJ Steffi. Excitement bubbled from club pours and the general adrenaline rush of being in Martha Stewart’s presence. A jolly Santa took back the reins, holding court in front of the Palladian Tree to pose for photos with the fashionable crowd. Even Santa didn’t mind playing second fiddle to a fellow only-one-name-required icon. Everybody, it seems, loves Martha.
Because temperatures dipped to the low 40s, decked attendees wore everything from heirloom furs to candy-colored tights to tinsel swing coats. For Christmas at the Mothership, Dallasites understood the assignment.
