High-profile personal injury attorney Thomas J. Henry is known for doing things BIG. Even so, Saturday night’s $10 million blast celebrating his San Antonio law firm’s 25th anniversary blew “big” into the party stratosphere. In fact, the only place humongous enough to handle the near-preposterous revelry was the San Antonio convention center.
For his 1,100 guests, Henry tapped comedian George Lopez to emcee the extravaganza and flew in Adam Levine and Maroon 5 via private jet for their midnight gig. Add King of Latin Pop Enrique Iglesias, singer Imani Scott, San Antonio’s Austin Mahone and Mariachi Nuevo Estilo, the group that appeared on America’s Got Talent in 2017, to the entertainment roster.
Page Six reports, “The party featured more than 40,000 roses flown in from six countries, more than 1,000 Phalaenopsis orchids and more than 2,500 candles. There was a 200-pound bluefin tuna carved on-site, a sushi station and a live nitrogen ice cream station.” Add to that “500 bottles of champagne, Jell-O shots, cocktails and a raw bar brimming with shrimp, alongside tacos, sliders and dessert stands – all amid huge walls of red roses.”
And then there was the people-watching which brought this party to near-Hollywood levels. Headliners included Kelly Osbourne, Lance Bass, Kelly Clarkson, Kendra Wilkinson, Victoria’s Secret model Shanina Shaik, who exclaimed on Instagram, “Last night was unbelievable!”
Henry’s wife, Azteca, and their two children Maya, 18, and Thomas Henry, 19, joined Mr. Big in the celebration where invited guests included the law firm, local officials, celebrities and friends.
The Henrys have been displaying their party prowess for a number of years, making headlines with their daughter’s $6 million quinceañera in 2016, staring Pit Bull and Nick Jonas, and with their son’s 18th birthday bash, last year, tallying $4 million.
The Henry family went ostentatiously public with their lifestyle of the rich and nearly-famous last December with the launch of their YouTube channel “Hangin’ With Los Henrys.” The promo for the show effuses, “Follow Los Henrys as they try to top the $6 million Quinceanera they threw for daughter Maya last year with a multimillion dollar 18th birthday party for son Thomas. Watch the ups and downs of big budget party planning with this fun-loving family, headed by patriarch and high-powered attorney Thomas J. Henry.”
