We knew this PaperCity party was going to be special the moment we pulled up to the entry of The Westin at The Woodlands. The array of swank wheels courtesy of The Post Oak Collection in The Woodlands had all comers swooning over the Bentleys and Rolls-Royces, to-die-for luxury cars that set the regal stage for this swell night celebrating the launch of PaperCity The Woodlands.
The PaperCity team and more than 100 invited guests filled the hotel’s Como Social Club for an evening of elevated schmoozing both indoors and around the infinity pool that overlooks The Woodlands Waterway.
Grammy Award winning saxophonist Randy Allison provided the energized soundtrack to the evening that included the lively HTX Photobooth, a pop-up for creating a bouquet of fresh flowers, tastings of Madame Zero champagne, live guest sketches and a mini art exhibition of works from Suzanne Seiler, presented by The Woodlands Art Council.
Chefs from both The Westin hotel’s Italian restaurant Sorriso and The Woodlands Resort’s Back Table Kitchen & Bar provided a wealth of party foods that fueled the enthusiasm for the evening.

In addressing the throng, PaperCity president/digital partner Chad Miller quipped that he is often asked why The Woodlands for the expansion. His answer, “Why NOT The Woodlands and why did it take so long?”
The Woodlands, he noted, is a dynamic cultural hub, a place of upscale shopping, dining and performing arts, an independent township that easily fits into the PaperCity wheelhouse.
In a nod to its new Post Oak showroom only a block from The Westin, Tilman Fertitta’s dealership provided me transport to The Woodlands in a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, the incredible all-terrain SUV. You’ve never seen an SUV like this, so luxurious and smooth riding, so comfortable, so fabulous, it belies any previous conception of what and SUV should be. Thank you, Diane Caplan for arranging the magical ride.
