What: Chick Lit Luncheon benefitting Community Partners of Dallas

Where: Hilton Anatole hotel

PC Moment: Speaking on-stage at the Hilton Anatole hotel during this year’s Chick Lit Luncheon, megawatt actress Katie Holmes dished deets on her Dawson’s Creek reunion, her girl crush Michelle Obama, a bold haircut she braved for a role that didn’t pan out and more.

But after she declared, “Texas women are just amazing,” the sentiment was immediately followed by cheers and applause from the well-heeled crowd.

Holmes was posh perfection in a citrus-hued Gucci frock, sitting opposite PaperCity Dallas editor-in-chief Christina Geyer during a frank exchange that covered entertaining tales of Holmes’ Hollywood adventures and a more sobering discussion of the work CPD does for abused and neglected children in Dallas, a cause important to Holmes as a mother.

The sold-out luncheon is in its 12th year and continually thriving since it relocated three years ago from Brook Hollow Golf Club to the Anatole’s much roomier Chantilly Ballroom.
