This Tanglewood Stunner Will Leave You Shaken and Stirred

Only weeks after Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton dazzled in a Jenny Packham gilded gown on the red carpet for the world premiere of the new James Bond film No Time to Die, the solidly popular British designer landed in Houston for personal appointments at Neiman Marcus and a cocktail party that evening at a swank, 007-worthy mansion in Tanglewood.
That fabulous gown was modeled throughout the cocktail evening which featured a Packham’s 007 capsule collection of 007 Bond girl gowns, including seven being offered exclusively at Neiman Marcus. The designer’s homage to the James Bond entity was in celebration of the 60th anniversary of Ian Fleming’s legendary spy.
The spectacular 7,613 square foot dwelling at 5560 Sugar Hill Drive — worthy of Bond, James Bond and anyone with $3.25 million to spare — was selected by Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty as the showcase for Packham and her 007 collection.
In planning the event, Neiman Marcus had reached out to top Sotheby’s realtor and loyal Neiman’s client Katherine Warren to host the reception for Packham. Warren enlisted fellow realtors Ruthie Porterfield and Neal Hamil to host the event at their Sugar Hill listing.
Packham perched in the spacious dining room and visited with intrigued fans of her grand gowns which were on display as models circulated in the 007 collection and visited with intrigued fans of the Brit’s creativity.

If Bond had been relocating to Houston and was interested in a Tanglewood address, this property could be just the ticket. It boasts a downstairs primary bedroom with luxurious dual bath, five en suite bedrooms, a home office plus additional workspace, an updated top-of-the-line gathering kitchen, sandstone fireplaces, museum lighting/Lutron system, plus a lavish outdoor living space with covered and open-air patios surrounding the pool and spa. And as Porterfield and Hamil point out, the mansion is only three blocks (or a four minute walk) from Tanglewood Boulevard, a popular promenade for area residents.
