La famille David Yurman entered the rarified realm of Parisian luxury earlier this month with introduction and haute celebration of its flagship store on Rue Sainte-Honoré, the brand’s first venture beyond the United States borders. The store opening, a fair extraordinaire in itself, was followed by a lavish, star-studded dinner at the Louvre.
A soigné clutch of friends of the house, special guests and celebrity brand ambassadors, many styling pieces from the David Yurman high jewelry collection, gathered for bubbly before being seated for the four-course dinner orchestrated by renowned French chef Alain Ducasse.
Among the swanning ambassadors were the dreamy Henry Golding, Lucien Laviscount (Emily in Paris), Laura Harrier (Spider Man), former Victoria Secret Angel Taylor Hill, model and actress Camille Rowe and Kelsey Asbille (Yellowstone).
Sybil and David Yurman , who founded their namesake brand in New York in 1980, and their son Evan Yurman, the house’s newly anointed president, welcomed the throng along with Musée de Louvre director Laurence des Cars, the first woman to hold the distinguished post.

The evening celebrated not only the opening of the flagship but also the David Yurman commitment to the city and its culture. The house’s support will restore four important sculptures in the Jardin des Tuileries’ Grand Basin.
When considering where to make their cultural contribution, the Yurmans consulted with longtime friend and Houstonian Becca Cason Thrash, Chevalier of the Legion of Honor. Affectionately known as “la reine du Louvre” for her series of international fundraisers, Cason Thrash suggested the museum and served as liaison between the parties. Alas, la belle Texan having already spent a month in Europe was obliged to return home and reluctantly missed the affair.
The glitterati included Carli Bruni, Derek Blasberg, Karlie Kloss, Amelia Windsor, Clémence Poésy, Carolyn Murphy, Karlie Kloss, Olivia Palermo, Coco Rocha, George Cortina, Law Roach, Anna Dello Russo and Esteban Ocon.

The evening before the Louvre fête, the Yurmans hosted a cocktail grand opening at the flagship store, located at 245 rue Saint-Honoré in Paris’ luxury hub around Place Vendôme. Guests spilled over from the elegant interiors, reminiscent of the brand’s 57th Street flagship in New York, into the interior courtyard.
That heady guest list included Anna Wintour, Kate Beckinsale, Alain Ducasse, Ashley Park, Corey Gamble, Veronika Heilbrunner and the celebrity brand ambassadors among others.
