Tupelo Honey
Kick off New Year’s Eve in Jerry’s World. Southern restaurant Tupelo Honey at The Star in Frisco is offering a $35 three-course dinner menu (alongside its regular menu), with the option to add tableside champagne service for $35. You can see the prix-fixe New Year’s Eve dinner menu on the website. Make reservations online or call 469-403-2160.
The Statler
The revamped Downtown Dallas hotel is hosting its inaugural New Year’s Eve bash throughout three of its restaurant venues. Bourbon & Banter, Scout and Waterproof (the rooftop bar) will be hosting live entertainment from The Effinays, DJ Luchianni, DJ Willie Trimmer and DJ Zekk. Chefs Graham Dodds and Angela Hernandez will provide bites and there will be plenty of party libations. General admission tickets are $40 and can be purchased online or at the door.
Midnight Rambler
The Joule’s chic underground cocktail bar is throwing its third annual New Year’s Eve Boho-A-Go-Go party. Dallas DJs Wild in the Streets and Travis Box will spin tunes for the dance party, while live Go-Go performers The Go-Go Three get down.
The event is open to the public from 5 to 8:30 pm. Starting at 8:30, there will be a $25 entrance fee. Complimentary midnight champagne toast included. To reserve a table or pre-purchase tickets, email info@midnightrambler.com or call 214-261-4601.
Knife
Say goodbye to 2017 in a most decadent fashion: Dining on Chef John Tesar’s Caviar Sandwich with a bottle of Billecart-Salmon Brut Rose at Knife. The steakhouse is offering the lush pairing for one night only. The sandwich, caviar and chopped egg on toasted white bread, topped with gold leaf, is only available with the purchase of the rosé – which is available exclusively on New Year’s Eve for $500. Make reservations on OpenTable or call 214-443-9339.
The Rustic
If you’d prefer a more down-to-earth New Year’s celebration, The Rustic is hosting a New Year’s Eve bash and concert featuring Texas musician Charley Crockett. Walker Lukens will take the stage at 8 pm. to open for the bluesy singer-songwriter. The restaurant and concert venue is covering its massive patio with a tent, so don’t worry about getting chilly. Tickets are free with an RSVP on Prekindle.com, and all ages are welcome.
Niwa
Sometimes the best way to celebrate New Year’s Eve is to avoid the crowds. Deep Ellum restaurant Niwa Japanese BBQ is open for the holiday with its normal menu — meaning no abnormal crowds or annoying prix fixe menus. If you’re looking for a low-key way to celebrate the holiday, this is a great option.
Mirador
Ring in the new year at Forty Five Ten’s posh restaurant. Mirador is offering festive four-course and six-course prix-fixe menus on December 31, with dinner seatings from 6 to 9:30 pm. The four-course menu is $110 per person with optional $55 wine pairings, and the six-course menu is $140 per person with optional $70 wine pairings. Stick around for late night cocktails in The Lounge until 1 a.m. Reservations required, visit www.mirador-dallas.com.
Abacus
Knox-Henderson fine dining restaurant Abacus is serving a special four-course dinner on New Year’s Eve. Chef Chris Patrick has created a seasonal menu with indulgent items like parmesan-scampi butter grilled Maine lobster and wood fired beef tenderloin. Dinner is $100 per person, and reservations are strongly suggested. See the full menu and book a table on the Abacus website.
Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek
Make the last night of 2017 an elegant one at the Mansion. The hotel’s restaurant is offering a four-course prix fixe menu for $125 per person at the early seating from 5:30 to 6 pm, and a seven-course prix fixe menu for $225 per person at the later seating from 7:30 to 9:30 pm.
