Overview for the Guest Bedroom
Wells Design created an elegant guest bedroom with a sophisticated world traveler in mind. Breakfast can be luxuriously enjoyed in bed, with Everyday Elegance tableware atop crisp Leontine Linens bedding and a striking canopy of Rose Cumming Chintz overhead. Contemporary art ornaments the walls, which are wrapped in custom-colored Namay Samay fabric. English design influences are featured alongside classic American design elements for a sumptuous retreat that balances beauty with comfort. A custom Retorra rug and bespoke étagère punctuate the room, which has a soothing color palette, incorporating both earth and jewel tones. — Wells Design

Highlights
We built our scheme around one of my favorite Rose Cumming fabrics. As you may know, I acquired the Rose Cumming fabric line last year, so it was so fun to use one of the signature prints as the foundation of our scheme.
Collaborations
Our rug was a wonderful collaboration with Retorra Rugs, a show house sponsor. They were able to help us create a totally custom rug and have it hand-woven in Nepal and delivered exactly how we imagined it, all within an extremely tight time span — amazing.
The same is true of our collaboration with Namay Samay. They created a custom citron color especially for us based on a cutting we sent them. With the tight deadlines, we really needed to move fast, and Namay Samay delivered 160 yards on time and perfectly executed.
Where did you shop in Dallas to pick up great items?
We picked up last-minute items at Peacock Alley, Amy Berry, and Nuvo. Of course, my showroom, Wells Abbott, was a great resource as well.
Best restaurants while in Dallas
I’m a diehard Honor Bar fan.
A favorite piece in your room
Our room is full of favorites but I must say I’m a little obsessed with our étagère right now. I love the counter-height shelf, which makes the piece multifunctional. There are a number of different ways it could be used.
