Texas Design Week Dallas is Almost Here

Texas Design Week, a full program of book signings, cocktail events, and panel discussions by noted interior designers, architects, and visionaries, debuted in Houston in spring 2017. Now, the biannual series lands in Dallas, for three days of design, Wednesday, November 1 through Friday, November 3.

The Dallas PaperCity Design Awards with Dallas Design District & Dunhill Partners kicks off Texas Design Week Dallas Wednesday, November 1, 6:30 pm, with cocktails, presentation of winning entries, and after-party at Level Two in the Dallas Design District (by invitation).

Thursday, November 2, Traditional Home presents an 11 am panel discussion at Artistic Tile Showroom with author Carl Dellatore and designers Alexa Hampton and Vicente Wolf, “Interior Design Master Class: 100 Lessons from America’s Finest Designers on the Art of Decoration.” A book signing and luncheon follow with Vicente Wolf (The Four Elements of Design: Interiors Inspired by Earth, Water, Air and Fire); Alexa Hampton (Decorating in Detail) and Carl Dellatore (Interior Design Master Class: 100 Lessons from America’s Finest Designers on the Art of Decoration.

The day continues at 4 pm at David Sutherland Showroom with a keynote with architect Bobby McAlpine, followed by a book signing of his newest book,  Poetry of Place: The New Architecture and Interiors of McAlpine; cocktails, and the launch of a new furniture collection.

Thursday is capped off with a by-invitation Traditional Home magazine cocktail party celebrating the opening of Ambella Home Collection showroom in Dallas Design District, with senior style editor Krissa Rossbund and Ambella Home Collection president George S. Moussa.

Friday, November 3 Ligne Roset Dallas presents a panel discussion “Design Opportunity: Monetizing your Blog,” with Ronda Rice Carman, Ginger Curtis, and Jeffrey Johnson, who will share advice and best practices for your online presence and how you can take your visibility to the next level.

Also on Friday, Texas Design Week Dallas closes out with An Evening of Design cocktail party hosted by Stockdale Investment Group at the International on Turtle Creek. Join showrooms Allan Knight & Associates, Celebrity Bakery, Centre Living Homes, Elegant Additions, IFC, Kohler Linens, OFS, The Spencer Co., Truett Fine Carpet & Rugs, Tufenkian Carpets Dallas, Walker Zanger, and Wilson Office Interiors for cocktails and chatter. 

In support of those impacted by Hurricane Harvey, in lieu of ticket sales for Texas Design Week Dallas, TXDW is encouraging all attendees to contribute to The Furniture Bank Houston, United Way of Greater Houston or Houston Design Unites.
