Hooray for the time of year that I don’t have to pack a sack lunch for work. Although I still really love indulging mid-day in a Little Debbie treat. In fact, my current diet plan calls for lots of refined sugar and is gluten-full.

My first fall luncheon was to celebrate the two-day trunk show at Forty Five Ten for The Row, where guests were invited to shop the Fall 2018 Collection. The apparel and accessories brand, which was created in 2006 by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, also offered an exclusive preview of The Row’s Spring 2019 Collection. Hey, any mention of the Lollipop Guild, powerhouse designers and I’m there. Sidney Garber Fine Jewelry was included in the trunk show as well. Created in 1946, Sidney Garber uses only responsibly-sourced materials and donates all profits to charity. Cheers to that incredible company’s mission.

I adore being the only boy amongst a group of beautiful and brilliant women. It was much like most of my high school years — but much better food at lunch. In those teenage years, I definitely was not eating whipped ricotta toast or tuna crudo with ginger, marinated gooseberries, and lime (which started our meal at Forty Five Ten).

The trunk show, which was hosted by the incredibly warm and street-style-wise Kristen Cole, began with an intimate luncheon where models showed off a palette of rich neutrals — sweaters, coats, dresses, booties, and more — from the Fall 2018 Collection, perfectly accented with Sidney Garber designs.

The two girls that I had the pleasure of being adjacent to were Claire Gogel and Sharon Young. The three of us oohed and aahed over the gorgeous looks from The Row. We particularly liked the first ensemble — a gray suit with a draped collar, which was elegant without being fussy. Exactly the way a modern woman should dress, effortless with an authoritative vibe. I also had great fun discussing items to binge watch with the two of them now that the weather was calling for snuggling under a pile of Hermes blankets with flames roaring from an adjacent fireplace. Ne’er a conversation of late that doesn’t include a rundown of season two of Netflix’s Ozark.

Props for fashion choices of the day must be handed to Deborah Scott and Lisa Runyon. Both had on frisky animal prints. Lisa’s were more of an exotic, safari’esque assortment of monkeys, giraffes and elephants. Deborah, on the other hand, had cuddly and campy kittens. My @jumpsuitfetish friend never fails to deliver.
