Special Texas Necklaces to Benefit Hurricane Devastated Areas

We’ve always known that Texas has a big heart, and the tragedy of Hurricane Harvey only deepened our faith in the Lone Star State. From star athletes to high-profile restaurants, the community banded together to support relief efforts, but there’s still much to be done. Fine jeweler Lagos launched an initiative that lets you declare your love for the state whilst giving back to your fellow Texans.

Through the end of the year, 100 percent of proceeds from the Heart of Texas pendant necklace will support the relief efforts of Americares, a health-focused relief and development organization which has deployed response teams to areas Hurricane Harvey, Maria and Irma.

“There have been a number of devastating events recently that have affected our employees, partners and friends throughout the country,” Lagos founder and creative director Steven Lagos in a statement. “It’s personal to me. Lagos is all about doing the right thing, and the right thing now is to support the larger community.”

The sterling silver necklace has a heart pendant inspired by Texas icons and culture. The heart features Dallas’ Reunion Tower, Houston’s San Jacinto Monument, an El Paso cowboy boot, a Beaumont oil rig, the State Capitol Dome in Austin, and a subtle longhorn motif.
