Karl Lagerfeld takes a runway bow at the end of the showing of the Chanel cruise collection in Seoul, South Korea, in 2015.
Say hello to kid couture! Fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld, aka Chanel’s creative director, unveiled his children’s collection at the fashion house’s headquarters in Paris this past Wednesday.
The collection includes Lagerfeld-inspired leather jackets, gloves and ties, in addition to ready-to-wear collections for boys and girls as young as newborns up to mid-teens. Lagerfeld’s beloved pet cat, Choupette, also served as an inspiration for much of the collection. The event celebrated children’s fashion and invited little ones to stimulate their creative spirits by making keychains in the shape of Lagerfeld’s silhouette and playing dress-up with Lagerfeld figurines.
Children and grown-ups alike enjoyed cotton candy as the new collection made its debut. Pricing for the collection has yet to be released, but it will retail for Spring 2016.
