Houston social media style-setter Lyndsey Zorich is ready for spring. The founder of The Avenue is embracing florals, while also crushing on lavender AND mustard (it’s having a moment she says) and Zorich is ready to mix up a fresh palette of colors and patterns with pieces from the latest Joie collection at River Oaks District.
When Zorich finds colors, cuts, patterns and fits she likes, she snaps them up and works it into her morning-to-night, go-go-go life. A mother to three young sons, stylish versatility is a must.
That’s just what happened with the Waneta Floral Dress, an airy maxi dress, dotted with bouquets of cornflower blue blooms. Lyndsey Zorich found the same print in the Bolona Print Floral top and doubled-up.
“I just loved this print so much and florals are always in style,” Zorich says. “Joie always does a good job with their florals.”
She’s also fond of the brand’s compassionate and giving spirit. Joie supports The Little Market and CORR – The Jute Works, a nonprofit social enterprise in Bangladesh that empowers rural women through handicraft production. Customers who spend $450 receive a handmade bag, allowing the women who crafted it to earn a fair income.
“I love that Joie teamed up with The Little Market. We are so fortunate to live in the United States with all the opportunities we do. Creating opportunities for women is a beautiful thing,” Zorich says.
Zorich gave us some style tips along with a peek into her Joie shopping bag, laden with Spring favorites everybody can work into their wardrobe.
Lovely in Lavender
“Lavender really is a neutral for spring. Joie did a great job with their particular shade, so it can be a nice pop, or you can add more if you’d like. I’m wearing these lavender Madi Sandals and love the kitten heel.”
Mustard Moment
“You can wear mustard all year long, but I am really loving it for Spring. If you’re nervous about mustard, start with a top and throw it on with a white skinny jean. Think of it as another neutral and ease into it. It’s all about shade choices. Mustard is not an aggressive yellow and works well with florals.”
Feeling the Floral
“Florals are timeless, but Spring is the perfect time to wear them. Joie’s florals aren’t overpowering and they just feel like Spring. The Waneta Floral Dress is a no-brainer. I can wear it with sneakers, flats or my kitten heels and look and feel effortlessly chic.”
Denim on the Rise
“I’m a mom to three kids and Joie’s high-waisted crop denim is absolutely perfect. It’s lightweight and does a good job of flattening the tummy. They are flattering to all body types and you can wear them with flats or heels.”
Summing Up Spring
“For me, Spring is airy and effortless and Joie makes it easy, especially for those days when you only have a few minutes to get ready and you want to look your best. Their choice of shades and patterns are beautiful and make me feel put together. And I will definitely be wearing lavender all season too!”
