What
Stages celebrates the range of Latinx voices and stories reflecting the diversity of local Texas communities.
Our fourth annual Sin Muros Festival will feature four world premiere play readings and the world premiere of Houston artist Candice D’Meza’s Fatherland – a digital project that uses multi-media to explore grief and identity through the lens of a daughter who must come to terms with the death of her absent father. Our young audiences will have the opportunity to enjoy a digital performance of Yana Wana’s Legend of the Bluebonnet – produced by Indigenous Cultures Institute and Teatro Vivo. Yana Wana’s story exposes an amazing and unknown ancestral connection to the bluebonnet that gives 13-year-old María a renewed sense of self and family pride. See the entire schedule at www.stageshouston.com.
