Dallas’ Best Bakery Celebrates 25 Years with a Wild 1990s Throwback

Great bakeries are tragically rare. But, for the last quarter century, Dallasites have had one reliable source for all goods of the gluten variety. Empire Baking Co. is celebrating its 25th anniversary this weekend – and it’s taking the opportunity to thank customers in an unexpected and fun way.

Starting with a 90’s themed party on Thursday evening and going through Sunday, Empire Baking Co. is throwing it “bake” to its inaugural year with old-school products and pricing.

Dress up in your best 1990s gear and party like it’s 1992 on Thursday from 6 to 7:30 p.m at 5450 Lovers Lane #132. There will be a live DJ, drinks and food at the celebration.

If you can’t make it to the kickoff bash, you’ll still be able to purchase the products at Empire’s retail store throughout the weekend. “Throw bake” features include its memorable jalapeño cheddar bread for $5.95, classic sourdough for $3.00, and pane piasoano for $3.50.
