Valley House Gallery & Sculpture Garden

With the help of architect John Wesley Jones, Dallas artist and gallerist Donald Vogel designed a cutting-edge modernist house for his family that included an early example of combined living, dining, and kitchen areas and a spectacular private sculpture garden. Valley House Gallery opened in 1954 on the property. In 1965, the gardens and gallery exhibited more than 50 sculptures by Henry Moore, and for a time, one of Monet’s massive Nymphéas paintings from his water-lily series hung in Vogel’s home.
