If you’ve ever wanted to interact with alien creatures, dive into the deep ocean, or go on a heart-pounding adventure, now is your chance. Dreamscape Immersive, an AMC-backed virtual reality studio, is coming to NorthPark Center on August 15.
The second of only two VR Centers, the first located at Westfield’s Century City Mall in Los Angeles, the NorthPark location will mark the first of four new stand-alone and in-theatre venues from Dreamscape. New VR Centers will follow in Columbus, Ohio and the New York/New Jersey area.
There will be three original, free-roaming VR experiences at the Dallas location.
In Alien Zoo, viewers will travel to a larger than life, intergalactic haven where they get up close and personal with endangered alien creatures from across the galaxy. Upon arriving, travelers will be able to play ball with exotic frogcats, pet majestic creatures, and work together to escape the galaxy’s greatest predator.
Another option is The Curse of the Lost Pearl: A Magic Projector Adventure. In this one, visitors will be given a basic wish fulfillment. Step into screen and become a part of the movie. Once inside the adventure, participants will be challenged to unlock clues, escape traps, and work together as they discover the secret of The Lost Pearl.
Lastly, a co-production with WeVR, In The Blu: Deep Rescue, allows you to descend into the ocean and explore underwater worlds and aquatic life. It soon becomes a mission to rescue a trapped baby Blue Whale and unite it with its mother.
Dreamscape is for all ages and is a whole new twist on immersive and full sensory storytelling. The NorthPark location will house three stand-alone adventure pods, which will feature various original and studio-based content that will be changed on a regular basis. It’ll be on the second level of the mall, between Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus.
