From food competitions to holiday kickoff events, these are the best things to do in Dallas this weekend.
Enrique Iglesias and Ricky Martin
Spanish and Puerto Rican legends Enrique Iglesias and Ricky Martin will perform at American Airlines Center this Wednesday night. The two are co-headlining a U.S. (plus Canada) tour. Iglesias is a pop singer known for his English and Spanish crossover and hits like “Tonight (I’m Lovin’ You).” Martin has been performing since 1984 and known as the “Latin Music King.” Tickets are available here.

World Food Championships
From November 5 through November 7, The World Food Championships will take place at Fair Park. The largest competition in food sport, the multi-day event features live culinary competitions showcasing some of the world’s best cooks in categories like barbecue, bacon, dessert, seafood, and more. You can find day passes and weekend passes, which get you into tasting experiences and more, here.
Chefs for Farmers
Another big foodie event, Chefs for Farmers happens this Sunday at Dallas Heritage Village. From 3 pm to 6 pm, try all sorts of bites and sips from local restaurants, wineries, and breweries. Tickets cost $195 for VIP and $125 for general admission. In anticipation of the main event, you can also purchase tickets for different dinners and the Devour Street Food Festival in the days leading up. Find more info here.
12th Annual Blues, Bandits, & BBQ
This Saturday, head to Oak Cliff for the 12th annual Blues, Bandits, & BBQ event. From noon to 6 pm, Kidd Spring Park will host the fall festival including music, barbecue, and drinks. The event is family and pet friendly and guests are recommended to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets. Tickets start at $15 for drinks only and are $40 for both BBQ and drinks.

Hasan Minhaj
Host and creator of Patriot Act, a weekly comedy show on Netflix, Hasan Minhaj is a stand-up comedian and writer. He’ll make a stop at Music Hall at Fair Park on Saturday night on his “The King’s Jester” tour — a one-man show. Minaj will perform twice — the 9:30 pm show still has a few tickets left.
Holiday Kickoff at Grandscape
Head to The Colony on Saturday night from 5 pm to 9 pm for a free holiday kickoff event at Grandscape. Celebrate the start of the holiday season with a live holiday concert, special performances, photos with Santa, themed performers, a photo booth, and more. Kidd Kraddick Morning Show’s Kellie Raspberry will also be in attendance to emcee the event.

The Friends Experience
Opening at Plano’s The Shops at Willow Bend on Thursday, this new immersive, Friends-themed experience is a must-visit this holiday season. In honor of the iconic sitcom’s 25th anniversary, the Dallas area will play host to the experience’s first Texas stop. “The One in Dallas,” as they are calling it, will be a two-story interactive space with 12 rooms and activations to explore. These include the Friends fountain and Central Perk (with the orange couch, of course). Tickets are available here.

Madison Beer
Mark Cuban’s The Echo Lounge & Music Hall (formerly named The HiFi) is set to officially, finally open this week. One of the first weekend performers will be American artist Madison Beer. Currently on her “Life Support” tour, Beer is known for recent hits like “Reckless” and “Good in Goodbye,” as well as being an internet personality. Maggie Lindemann and Audriix will open for the singer. Crossing our fingers it actually opens this week! Tickets are available here.
