Putting the Borghese Beauty Regimen to the Test: Two Very Different PaperCity Women Take On the Challenge with Skincare Essentials, Tell All

BY Promoted Series Correspondent // 01.05.18

Not all skin is the same, so it’s rare when one product line can deliver for multiple skin types. Two PaperCity staffers put the Borghese regimen to the test over the course of one week — and walked away glowing over it. And that’s just their skin.

Georgie Ferrell, a twentysomething who is a self-professed beauty product enthusiast, immediately noticed her skin drink in Borghese’s Acqua Ristorativo Hydrating Concentrate.

“I felt like I was putting moisture in my skin without overloading it,” Ferrell says. “It’s a great every day go-to.”

She used the  Active Booster Serum under the Fango Active Mud Mask, which contains the signature Acqua di Vita Complex to replenish and revitalize dull, dry skin for a one-two punch against the winter weather.

“It was a great combination and my skin feels so good. I’m really into beauty and have tried a lot of products, and this is a new favorite,” Ferrell says.

Rosacea and dry skin top Ferrell’s skin concerns, so she enlisted the Fango Delicato Mud Mask  to combat the issues. The mix of aloe vera, oat protein, mango butter, olive fruit and chamomile extracts soothed, hydrated and calmed her skin, while the mask’s blend of collagen and hyaluronic acid replenished her skin.

“I was wary of the mask, as some can take too long and are too harsh, but it works in 5 minutes and I felt an immediate improvement in the moisture of my skin” Ferrell says.

Keeping It Real — and Smooth

Borghese’s Crema Saponetta Cleansing Creme gets rave reviews from Ferrell — and Monica Bickers, the second PaperCity representative, who worked the Borghese regimen into her skincare routine.

Bickers is a fortysomething mother of two, who cares about her skin, but always has one eye on the clock. She doesn’t have excess time to commit to multiple products, and found Borghese’s regimen was a breeze for her combination skin.

“I need a very adaptable regimen,” Bickers says. “I have a pretty busy life and I need a process I can do morning and night.”

Bickers started with the Crema Saponetta Cleansing Creme and quickly found it was a favorite, removing her makeup in one wash and keeping her skin clean and soft.

She worked the Intensive Age Defying Exfoliator into her routine and was delighted to discover it was kind to her skin.

“A lot of exfoliators are too harsh on my skin, but this was very frothy and my skin felt smooth for days after,” Bickers says.

The Fango Delicato Mud Mask also gave her skin a pleasant tingle and smoothness. Another bonus of the Borghese regimen? Bickers’ stubborn sun spots began fading within days of product use.

“My skin tone evened out, I had no visible spots and my skin is even and smooth,” Bickers says.

Both women used a combination of products, including Crema Saponetta Cleansing Creme, Intensive Age Defying Exfoliator, Fango Active Mud, Fango Delicato Mud, Acqua Ristorativo Hydrating Concentrate, Active Booster Serum and Restorative Eye Mask. Over the course of the week, the Restorative Eye Mask worked best in tandem with the Borghese mask treatments.

The Borghese regimen is known for combining the legacy of Italian spa culture and a modern approach to luxury skincare. It is interesting to see how that can be brought into two very different homes and deliver consistent results for two very different women — one twentysomething with an active night life, and one fortysomething mother with a hectic around-the-clock life.

Giving your skin the luxury treatment every day of the week makes a difference no matter what else is going on in your life. Or what stage of it you’re at. That sounds like true classic beauty.
