Dallas’ Woman of the Year?

This Artist Makes Her Case With a Generous Party to Remember

BY // 04.25.18

What: Fundraiser for the Man and woman of the Year Campaign

Where: Samuel Lynne Galleries

PC moment: Through the power of generosity, art, and cocktails, Dallas artist Lea Fisher successfully raised $52,025 for the Man and Woman of the Year Campaign. The campaign is a 10-week competition directed by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

It invites community leaders to raise funds in honor of local blood cancer survivors. The winner of the contest is awarded the national title “Man or Woman of the Year.”

Samuel Lynne Galleries hosted a live auction and cocktail reception to support candidate Fisher. While enjoying hand-crafted martinis,  guests marveled at artistic pieces displayed on the walls. Things only heated up when DJ Jennifer Miller began to play the ’80’s greatest hits. Meanwhile,  party goers participating in the auction won prizes such as a live painting class taught by JD Miller or a commissioned painting by Fisher.
