Posh Nosh
Co-chairs Jill Tananbaum and Cindy Stager welcomed 560 foodies onto the perfectly lit grounds of the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek for the TACA Lexus Party on the Green. Twenty acclaimed chefs — including Alejandro Rojas, Guido Brambilla, Matt McCallister, Jeff Harris, and Jason Maddy — vied for the Golden Skillet Award, but ultimately the Rosewood Crescent Hotel’s own Juan Rosado took top honors, thanks to his seaweed-cured diver scallops. Guests burned off calories on the dance floor, happily knowing that more than $390,000 was raised for 40-plus performing arts organizations. Tastemakers: Sally and Kyle McKeen, Karen and Jeff Morris, Irving Groves, Clint Chaffin, Dotti Reeder, Elizabeth and Eric Gambler, and Amy Green. Lacy Ball

Clowning Around
More than 500 fresh faces painted the town red (and white) during this year’s Ronald McDonald House of Dallas Young Friends event, thanks to the efforts of co-chairs Claire Liedtke and Allie Stensrud. DJ Lucy Wrubel kept hips shaking under Dale Chihuly’s glass sculpture at the Dallas Museum of Art — the perfect complement to this year’s “Beneath the Big Top” theme. Silent auction co-chairs Meghan Looney and Medley Crank had guests eyeing and vying for fabulous packages such as a suite to a Mavs game, seats in the Commissioner’s Box at the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, Elizabeth Showers’ jewels and trips to Napa and Aspen. Snapping iPhone photos with Ronald McDonald’s “LOL” sign and loving the three-ring circus: Paige Chenault, Carrie Arnot, Leigh Johnson, Monica Berry, Veronica Roper, Kimberly Thomas, Drew McWay, Keith Conlon, Kailey Shatzer, and Laura and Brandon Chavoya. Cannes Do
The 2013 Greer Garson Gala honorary chairs Barbara and Stan Rabin and co-chairs Jennifer and Chris LeLash dreamed up An Evening in Cannes in support of Women and Infant Services in the Margot Perot Center at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas. The evening of French Riviera revelry took a brilliant turn when guests helped raise more than $28,000 in just three minutes — an impressive new record. Those feeling lucky took a roll at roulette via the casino court, while others crowded the dance floor for Hunter Sullivan’s show. Bons vivants: Brian Gerber, Misty Kimbrell, Marc Perea, LeeAnne Locken, Richard Emberlin, and Shannon Fisher. Amanda Montgomery

Unearthing Treasures
The best place to hold a fund-raiser dubbed Discovery Awaits is undoubtedly the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. Nearly 300 guests-turned-explorers journeyed there for Friday Night Live, benefitting the Cancer Support Community of North Texas. Partiers posed for pictures with dinosaurs and woolly mammoths, took their seats for gourmet offerings from Wolfgang Puck and giggled over classic SNL clips featuring Gilda Radner (the patron saint of CSCNT). Guests are still buzzing about the bidding war involving emcee Brendan Higgins over a trip to NYC to catch Saturday Night Live in person. In the moment: honorary chairs Norma and Paul Shultz, chairmen Stephanie and Chris Robertson, Christy and Ben Abbott, co-chairs Jewelee and John Lancaster, Tracy Rathbun, Capera Ryan, Allison and Shaun Murphy, Janet Moll, and Dave Ashworth.
