Forty teams jostled for “Best Chili” honors at the third annual Chili Cook-Off by Casa de Esperanza’s Young Professionals, which raised $60,000 to help the shelter provide a safe place for children in crisis. Chairmen Brad Dinerstein and Tim Neuhaus welcomed more than 500 guests, while judges David Cordúa, Mike Cortez, and Kevin Strickland bestowed the title on teammates David Wood, Marc Freeman, Adam Tepper, Greg Talbert, and Clarke Crenshaw. The friendly tournament, underwritten by The Dinerstein Companies, featured music by The Mavens, an auction, raffle and a photo booth sponsored by Premier Photography.
