A standing ovation left actress Ashley Judd smiling after she shared her own story of childhood abuse and resilience with 1,000-plus patrons at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel. The PaperCity-sponsored Appetite for Advocacy Luncheon generated more than $320,000 for the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center. Co-chairs Ronnie Berg and Carla Cline applauded while honorees Jim Pasant and Reade Quinton received the Ruth Sharp Altshuler Award for their remarkable leadership. Blue bracelets at each place setting promoted Child Abuse Awareness Month, and with Judd’s request, “Don’t just tell one person, tell five,” lives will be changed for the better. Showing support: Rob Cline, Amy Warren, Faye Briggs, Mary Black, Terese Stevenson, Allison Murphy, Scott Murray, Kersten Rettig, Lindsay Jacaman, Ginny Searcy, and Holly Krug.
