For almost a year, Houston¹s second-oldest firehouse ‹ Fire Station No. 6
on Washington Avenue ‹ has been home base for the creative communications
firm Axiom. At a joint open house/holiday party, Axiom president Tom Hair
entertained 175 well-wishers with a performance by Hope Stone Dance
Company, led by executive and artistic director Jane Weiner, and a mix of
jazz standards by Lee Martin and his Luxury Trio band. Stay tuned:
Preservation Houston has selected the historic firehouse for a 2013 Good
Brick Award. Partying for preservation: Ed Will, George Martinez, Bentley
Sanford, Art League Houston¹s Michael Peranteau and Jennie Ash with
husband Jason, Kathleen and Charles Flournoy, Lauren and Stephen Kramer,
Amy and Craig Jefferies, and James Ezelle.
