The Breast Cancer Research Foundation¹s inaugural benefit, Hope in
Houston: Hot Pink Luncheon, drew 200 guests to the Rice Lofts¹ Crystal
Ballroom and raised nearly $250,000 toward a cure. Chairman Maralyn Lakin
encouraged BCRF to select Houston as a host city for the event because of
our extensive network of research centers and breast cancer experts, some
of whom spoke that day, including Kent Osborne, Sharon Giordano, and
Gabriel Hortobagyi. Thinking pink: Alex Frnka, Myra Biblowit, Virginia
