At the intersection of art, glamour and serious fund-raising lies TWO x TWO for AIDS and Art at The Rachofsky House. With more than $4.5 million raised on behalf of amfAR (The Foundation for AIDS Research) and the Dallas Museum of Art, this sold-out evening delivered on all three counts. Close to 475 people donned their designer best to bid on works from the likes of Richard Phillips, Eva Rothschild and Linder, plus a private portrait sitting by Karl Lagerfeld. (Silent-auction temptation came by way of one-of-a-kind Nancy Gonzales white crocodile totes customized by world-class artists.) But when all is said and done, we're giving credit to the power of three ‹ art patroness and chairman Amy Phelan, hosts Cindy and Howard Rachofsky, and a performance by Tony Award winner Alan Cumming. Paparazzi prey: Jamie Niven, Jacqueline and Maxwell Anderson, art chairs Lindsey and Patrick Collins, Chris Salgardo, Nancy Dedman, Janelle and Alden Pinnell, Vinoodh Matadin, Inez van Lamsweerde, John Phelan, and Jenny and John Kirtland.
