On Sunday night Fashion fiends gathered to celebrate the launch of Lisa Immordino-Vreeland's documentary on her grandmother in-law, Diana Vreenland, on the final evening of the Houston Cinema Arts Festival at Hotel ZaZa, before heading over to the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston to see the movie. Titled, Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has to Travel, it was a heady journey through a revolutionary's life and times. Chronicling Vreeland's years as a mother on both sides of the Atlantic to her posts at Bazaar and then Vogue, and finally her triumphant reign over New York's Metropolotian Museum of Art's Costume Institute the film was inspiring and transportive. Following the screening, Immordino-Vreeland and Lynn Wyatt had a tête-à-tête, delving into everything from the date of the DVD's release to fact that it was Lisa's birthday(Happy Birthday, Lisa!).
