Evening in Marrakesh
Vibrant tunics and beaded caftans bedazzled at the first Evening in Marrakesh benefitting the Child & Family Guidance Center at eM The Venue. Dinner channeled Morocco with kabobs, couscous, flatbreads, hummus and baklava, while belly dancers and Studio 54 music kept “sheik” guests entertained. Among the exotically attired: hosts Mersina and Phin Stubbs; Debbie and Nickey Oates, Lynn McBee, Vin Perella, Muffin and John Lemak, Tricia Besing, and Celina Abeyta.

Greer Garson Gala
On the other side of the world, guests at the Greer Garson Gala, The Golden Age of Hollywood, walked a red carpet flanked by two Oscar statuettes, at Union Station. Ladies in feathered gowns and gents in suits and hats mingled with gimlets in hand, and tried their luck at the casino tables. Forties-themed music in the style of the Andrew Sisters and a Groucho Marx impersonator drew guests into the dining room with ruby-draped-windows, where emcee Scott Friedman lauded the Margot Perot Center at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas for its services to women and infants. Ready for their close-ups: chairmen Brooke and Aaron Shelby; honorary chairs Amy and Corey Prestidge; and guests Keri Tonn and David Heard, Colbie Hale, Steve Smith, and Jennifer and Chris LeLash.
