Chef Brian Luscher of the Grape Restaurant is known for concocting flawless recipes. As Soup’s On chef chairman, he mixed party ingredients: Luscher compiled a menu of cooks — from the Mansion’s Bruno Davaillon to Komali and Salum’s Abraham Salum — to each whip up consommés for guests of the Stewpot Alliance Luncheon. The main course was commentary by New York Times bestselling author Jeannette Walls. She spoke about her memoir, The Glass Castle, to an audience that included chairman Tonya Meier, honorary chairmen Sally and Tom Dunning, and guests Gary Cogill, Hayley Hamilton, and Cheryl Henry.
