We’re craving “Feast: Radical Hospitality in Contemporary Art” at the Blaffer Art Museum (September 6 – December 7) — especially the performances, which include Mary Ellen Carroll’s Ground|Control, a dinner party in the Astrodome with Houston innovators as invited diners; the enactment of Tom Marioni’s salon The Act of Drinking Beer with Friends is the Highest Form of Art with guest bartenders at the Blaffer throughout the run of the exhibition; and Lee Mingwei’s tasty participatory The Dining Project, wherein three fortunate invitees, selected by lottery, dine and dish with the artist after-hours in the museum. Cheers!
